Pick n Pay gives small businesses a boost
Following media reports of small businesses being strong-armed by large retailers, Pick n Pay’s Enterprise & Small Development Programme is to be lauded as it is partnering with more than 100 small businesses and invested approximately R170 million into supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses through mentorship and business development. Speaking at the Meet the Maker launch, Suzanne Ackerman-Berman, director of transformation, re-affirmed the Ackerman family’s long tradition in empowering entrepreneurs by integrating their products onto its shelves.
