With customer service central to our mandate, candidates need business experience emphasising interpersonal skills and financial management. Car Service City`s Head Office and Franchisee network is a family, so a willingness to comply with the model, communicate with the Franchisor and other Franchisees, and live the Car Service City brand is essential.
Car servicing and/or mechanical knowledge is not a prerequisite as a Franchisee is expected to run the business, not service the vehicles. Head Office does provide assistance in sourcing and training front office staff and mechanics in order to ensure that the high standard of car servicing and repairs is maintained.
Training is a critical aspect of understanding the operations of the Car Service City business and is designed to equip the Franchisee, branch manager and secretary with the knowledge and skills required to run the franchise successfully.
The initial training programme is made up of on-the-job training as well as selected theory training. Every Franchisee, branch manager and branch secretary are required to attend this training for a period of four to eight weeks.
The training covers all Car Service City procedures and standards, financial controls, administrative requirements and procedures, as well as staff management. On-going training regarding products and systems ensures that the Franchisee remains on top of the best practices and developments within the car service industry.
