Hedley Judd has been involved in the Motor Industry for over 30 years at various levels ranging from Wholesale, Retail, Distribution, Franchises, product development, product management, marketing, and Technical support. His career has spanned across numerous facets of the industry under major brands such as NGK, CHAMPION, FERODO, LUCAS, PAYEN, UNIPART, SUPA QUICK, DUNLOP and CONTINENTAL.
He currently holds the position of National Director of the Tyre, Equipment, Parts Association (TEPA) of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) of South Africa. In this role, the responsibilities cover legislation, compliance and statutory guidance to the Franchise networks associated with TEPA. These cover brands such as Autozone, Midas, Supa Quick, Hi-Q, Best Drive, and others. Additionally, the role encompasses the representation on industry committees such as those constituted by the Government Departments, SABS and the National regulator for compulsory specifications.
Hedley has a solid experience of business at the coal face also holding an MBA from the University of WALES (UK) coupled with this experience is a deep appreciation and understanding of the technical aspects of the products and components in the automotive industry.
