MAID4U Head Office takes care of all other aspects, including: management and accounting to ensure compliance, operational license renewals, client queries, compilation and registration of all employees and their pay slips, legal aspects such as a lease, assisting franchisees with applicants’ training, moderation and assessments of trainees, national advertising, marketing, sales, IT aspects
and assistance with branch opening dates and campaigns

Fresh out of matric and without money to get a tertiary education Lindiwe Shibambo did not imagine that one day she would own a domestic worker agency, Maid4U.
Maid4U screens, trains and places reliable helpers as per specifications needed by the potential employer.

The domestic worker turned internal auditor refers to her personal life journey where her 24 months of domestic working experience enabled her to understand the challenges of the industry, while her own struggle in getting a reliable domestic worker increased her insights in this regard.
Today she tells the domestic workers Maid4U places not to look down on the domestic skills they have because every skill counts.
“I had no skills, but I could cook, iron clothes and clean the house and I used these skills to make a living and save up to start “my tertiary education,” Shibambo explains.

Maid4U officially registered in 2008 and opened  its doors after the 2010 World Cup in July of  2010 Shibambo had been juggling the agency with her full-time day job till she opted to resign and focus on building MAID4U . The agency has also not been without its fair share of cash flow problems in the past 2 years where it lost a lot of its Commercial Cleaning Contracts and Majority of its clients couldn’t make the monthly payments to the placed employees  and Subscriptions to MAID4U

But the business has managed to survive and has shown great potential for growth.

Shibambo is grateful to the  incubation by the Shanduka Black Umbrellas initiative, Through this incubation she was able to learn a lot about running a successful business , She is grateful to the DTI/ Small Business Ministry for identifying MAID4U as a business that can be packaged as a Franchise so that it can have a much broader reach and high impact in society.

A move she’s grateful she took as the business got the support it needed and became Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) , Accredited for training and tax compliant.MAID4U is in partnership with the Department of Employment and Labour through its ESSA Program

After receiving numerous calls to open Maid4U franchises in various provinces across the country and through the training received from SA Franchise Warehouse in Partnership with the Micro Franchising  Program by the DTI /Small Business Ministry , Maid4U was packaged as a Franchise  , The idea is to assist and reach out to all like minded entrepreneurs in other provinces outside Gauteng  . Background requirements

  • The franchisee should be credit worthy( in case she needs to apply for Funding )  Or have the required  available funds
  • The franchisee should have basic Budgeting and Finance knowledge
  • No formal qualification or previous business operations experience  is required although in some instances, this may be an advantage.

Experience
A franchisee with Managerial/Supervisory  experience and/or having been self employed is ideal;

  • The franchisee should be computer literate; with a valid drivers license and own vehicle
  • The franchisee should be a ‘hands on’? person who can pro-actively market his business, selling the brand , the MAID4U  concept and the MAID4U  Experience. The franchisee must be an ‘owner-operator’?.

Personal Attributes
The franchisee needs to be an energetic self-starter with a professional approach to business.

  • The franchisee must be people orientated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • She must have a love for working with people and must be capable of gaining and maintaining rapport with his customer base through being friendly, patient and tolerant, yet firm.
  • She must be able to manage others effectively, have above average motivational skills and create the personalized friendly and fun environment.
  • The franchisee needs to share an alignment with the MAID4U values. She must be able to model the characteristics of a true MAID4U Ambassador.
  • The franchisee should be of respectable appearance and of good physical health.
  • The franchisee must demonstrate entrepreneurial skills; yet also show the ability and willingness to be a team player.
  • The franchisee should be enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated. She must be a ‘go-getter’? with a strong will to succeed.
  • The franchisee must consider her business as a long-term investment. She must show commitment and have a loyal and consistent character.

By the nature of our business , the franchisee needs to have stamina and strength to commit to the hard work and long hours needed when operating a MAID4U franchise

After a franchisee has completed our Online Assessment and have been approved as our Franchisee

A Microsoft Team Induction will be done , A Welcome letter sent , Then a 4 Day Training session in Gauteng Scheduled , Where the below Topics are covered
