Sotiri, a natural born leader with a vast experience in the Franchise business since 1996, having experienced being a Franchisee for a number of years, decided to start his own Franchised pizza brand opening his first outlet named Bellissima Pizza Pasta back in 2001. In 2005 he bought the Gian Carlos Pizza outlet, expanding the name to four stores in just 18 months.
In 2009, Sotiri took the opportunity and merged with Pizza Del Forno. The combination of his vast knowledge in the pizza and takeaway market added to the existing Pizza Del Forno concept. He assisted in turning your local neighbourhood pizzeria into an establishment that not only caters as your local restaurant, but also provides a delivery and takeaway service. This enabled him to re-develop the brand Pizza Del Forno into a brand of style. He has grown the brand from strength to strength.
As of 2015, he is the sole director of this innovative brand, strongly setting the example of his favourite motto: “We lead, others follow.”
In late 2017 Sotiri realised a further opportunity to officially split the brand into Del Forno (Pizza Pasta Grill) for the full restaurants, while the Pizza Del Forno brand continues in the remaining take away stores. Del Forno is potentially becoming a leader in the pizzeria market, and is set to expand to new and exciting locations.
Del Forno provides each Prospective Franchisee with a complete turnkey operation and makes available to each new Franchisee all financial resources to ensure the success of each Franchise.
Building a strong relationship with all Franchisees is a vital factor for the Del Forno Franchise Company, and it is with this in mind that Del Forno will assist in all areas of set up and ensure that each new store opening is a smooth and exciting process for new Franchisees.
Del Forno looks for vibrant, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals that believe in a hands-on approach and will be committed to owning and operating their own store. Experience in the food industry has shown that owner operated stores are more successful. Del Forno requires that the day-to-day running of the store be managed by an individual with at least 50% interest in business.
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training but must possess exceptional communication skills, be results-driven, retain their willingness to learn and, above all, be willing to work within the structured framework of the franchise system.
All Del Forno outlets must be owner-managed.

There are opportunities to purchase existing Del Forno Outlets in both Johannesburg and Pretoria. All Del Forno outlets must be owner managed.
