CONDITIONS TO ENTRY

TIPS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. These general conditions of entry apply to ALL categories:
  2. The Awards are open to all franchisor and affiliate members of the Franchise Association of South Africa and to all franchisees that are part of a franchise system operated by a franchisor member of FASA.
  3. Entries should not be submitted in the name of a group but separate entries for each brand will be welcome.
  4. Please note that every entry will be considered in its entirety. It will be to your advantage to complete every question as fully as possible, and provide all the required enclosures. However, should you be unable to do so regarding one particular aspect, your entry will not be disqualified.
  5. Please read through all the instructions on the entry forms very carefully, noting the following:
    • Franchisors wishing to enter for the Leading Developer of Emerging Entrepreneurs and the Brand Builder of the Year awards are required to fill in two questionnaires, i.e., the basic entry form for franchisors as well as the entry form for the specific category entered.
  6. Your entry for the awards will not be accepted, if the following conditions are not adhered to:
    • The entrant, i.e., the franchisor, franchisee or field service consultant or representative thereof, must sign all entries.
    • If membership fees are not paid-up, entry for the awards will not be accepted.
  7. Each entrant must complete the relevant entry form/s and submit them to
margaret@researchiq.co.za. The deadline is noon on Friday 27 April 2018.   Please note that no extension to this date will be granted under any circumstances.  Receipt of all entries will be acknowledged by email by Margaret Constantaras of Research IQ.
  8. The panel of judges will meet in a closed session to select the finalists using a transparent scoring system. Three finalists in each category will be considered and put forward.
  9. At the sole discretion of the Panel of Judges:
    • Finalists may be asked to provide additional written information.
    • Finalists may be requested to attend an interview with and/or present to the Panel of Judges.
    • The Panel of Judges or their representatives may arrange to visit entrants or nominees at their respective place(s) of business to conduct supportive interviews and/or to inspect documentation relevant to information and facilitate supporting interviews upon request by the Panel of Judges.
    • Finalists in the Brand Builder of the Year category may be requested to provide an electronic (soft) copy of the documentation of their latest marketing and brand building campaign for the judges to review.
  10. The finalists will be invited to attend the FASA Awards cocktail function in Johannesburg or Sandton at their own expense, where the winners will be announced.  All finalists will receive a framed certificate and the winner in each category will also receive a trophy.
  11. FASA is not responsible for any expenses incurred by entrants or finalists in connection with the Awards.
  12. Decisions arrived at by the Panel of Judges are final and binding upon all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard. The Panel of Judges reserves the right to withhold any one award if they deem this to be appropriate.
  13. Whilst the Panel of Judges will treat the entries in the strictest confidence, neither FASA nor its office bearers can accept responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from disclosure or information related to an entry.
  14. FASA reserves the right, prior and subsequent to the Awards presentation, to publish non-confidential details of companies/individuals qualifying as finalists or winners.
  15. To enable FASA to negotiate the maximum publicity for all winners and finalists - specifically newspaper features - members and their PR Consultants must not disseminate information of the finalists or winners to the media prior to Monday, 11 June 2018 .
