History
Car Service City was born in September 2004, and has expanded to a 60-strong nation-wide network. It’s continually growing based on consumer demand for affordable, trustworthy and professional auto repairs and services. 90% of the network is franchisee owned, with 10% run by head office in order to understand franchisee challenges and to innovate the model for on-going competitive advantage. Best quality and affordable service, outstanding customer experience, and conveniently located workshops are at the core of Car Service City, making it a consistent experience no matter which workshop is visited.
Activities
Car Service City is a reputable, growing network of 60 workshops countrywide. We specialise in affordable service and repairs of all makes of vehicles, and are fast-becoming one of South Africa’s leading car servicing groups. We offer best quality service through conveniently placed workshops throughout South Africa, and affordable services and repairs through strategic partnerships, and guarantee our workmanship.
Profile
With customer service central to our mandate, candidates need business experience emphasising interpersonal skills and financial management. Car Service City’s head office and franchisee network is a family, so willingness to comply with the model, communicate with the franchisor and other franchisees, and live the Car Service City brand is essential. Car servicing/mechanical knowledge is not a prerequisite as a franchisee is expected to run the business, not service the vehicles. Head office helps source and train excellent mechanics and managers to ensure the high standard of car servicing and repairs is maintained.
Training
Every franchisee, branch manager and branch secretary are required to attend specifically designed, comprehensive training courses lasting four to eight weeks. The training includes all Car Service City procedures and standards, financial controls, administrative requirements and procedures, as well as staff management. On-going training regarding products and systems ensure that franchisees remain abreast of best practice and developments within the car service industry.
