FASA's 34th AGM and Golf Day on 26 February a must for all members
2013 is set to be a watershed year for franchising and FASA. The association was instrumental in drafting the Consumer Protection Act and ensuring that the legislation aligned with FASA's strict guidelines and standards and is currently applying to the Consumer Commission to become the alternative dispute resolution body for the franchising industry. A joint task team has been formed to explore how finances can be made available to the industry to help grow the sector. Initiatives such as the Jobs Fund and development banks such as the Public Investment Corporation have recognized the potential of franchising and the first successful grant applications should shortly be granted to FASA members. If you want to know more about FASA's many initiatives and be part of its future plans, you cannot miss the 2013 AGM.
As a FASA member committed to making a difference, we invite you to attend FASA's 34th Annual General Meeting to be held at Dainfern Golf and Country Estate on Tuesday 26 February from 07h00 and avail yourself to serve on council. Guest speakers include Prof Tanya Woker author of the definitive ‘The Franchise Relationship under South African Law' book, political analyst and futurist Daniel Silke and Christopher Gilmour, Investment Analyst from ABSA Asset Management. The AGM will be followed by a networking golf day. Official notices were couriered to all members this month. Should you have not received the notice or wish to attend contact Shereen Davids at FASA on 011 615 0359 or email email@example.com.
