FASA'S CONVENTION A MUST FOR BUSINESS OWNERS

For the third year running, the Franchise Association of Southern Africa (FASA) which owns and presents the International Franchise Expo (IFE) (17 – 19th May 2012) will be hosting a Business Convention on Friday 18th May which will give delegates insight into the latest developments in franchising as well as offer insights into socio economic, political, legislative and marketing scenarios that may affect franchising on a local and global level.

  • Futurist Clem Sunter, a great proponent of franchising, will give his take on the future of business in his Breaking Futures 2012
  • Allon Riaz will tackle what must be on every business person’s mind –  being too scared to fail and the barriers to small business growth.
  • How the political game affects our personal and business life is what columnist and political analyst Justice Malala will tackle as he unpacks the political ploys that play out in our country and could affect business long-term.
  • Social media is the buzzword in marketing circles and Romany Thresher will guide delegates on how to effectively use this powerful tool for greater exposure and market share.
  • How important is it to use a franchise lawyer when drawing up a contract or going into business?  With the CPA and Companies Act impacting on day-to-day business activities, this panel of attorneys will tell you why it is so important to dot the ‘i’s’ and cross the ‘t’s’.’
  • Ingra du Buisson-Nersai will give a talk as part of her successful Neuroleadership Series where she taps into the neuroscience of performance and understanding of human dynamics.
  • Rob Sadler, renowned retail specialist will be running a 3-hour workshop tackling the changing face of the consumer with practical techniques on how to ‘turn browsers into buyers’, ‘sell more to people who come in’, ‘being where the customer is’ and measuring your success.

The cost to attend this valuable one-day Business Convention (8h15 – 16h20) is R 1 495.00 (ex VAT) per person and FASA members qualify for a 20% discount.  To book contact Giuli Osso on 011 802 1611 or email giuli@gocomms.co.za.
