With FASA, Discounted Lifestyle and Independent Newspapers teaming up to provide newspaper readers with special discounts from FASA members, we will also offer our members first option on any other special marketing opportunities the media house may have.  Here’s one for those companies wanting to reach a wide student market. The Star produces a special Varsity edition of the newspaper for the University of Johannesburg every Thursday and they deliver 5000 copies to the three campuses which are free for the students to read. We are looking for sponsorship for these copies just to cover the cost of printing. The sponsor will have the opportunity to advertise their product on the front page in the two ear pieces next to the masthead as well as the ad on the bottom right hand corner. They will also get a full page ad inside the paper on page 2 or 3 .We devote four pages of the paper to UJ news and we have found that the students and lecturers look forward to and read the paper every week.  The rest of the paper is the normal Star of the day. The space available to the sponsor can be used to promote any message or product the sponsor may want to get across to the students. The total cost for one week is R30 000 ex vat.
